SmartLipo

Dr. Flynn is proud to introduce SmartLipo laser lipolysis.  The latest in liposuction body contouring techniques, SmartLipo (laser assisted liposuction) was approved by the FDA in October of 2006. It has been featured in People magazine, the Today Show, Good Morning America, and Access Hollywood.

SmartLipo laser lipolysis is fat destruction without the suction, along with skin tightening.  It is particularly effective on the abdomen, thighs, arms, back, neck and other areas where fat reduction and skin tightening is desired.  The laser used in SmartLipo stimulates collagen formation and stimulates contraction and shrinkage of the skin.  Compared to traditional liposuction, there is less downtime, bruising, swelling and discomfort.

As opposed to traditional liposuction, SmartLipo laser lipolysis is a delicate procedure with a tiny cannula (instrument) with a laser impulse at the tip.  This instrument is passed slowly and gently superficially beneath the skin to promote fat break down, fat reduction and skin tightening.  If large amounts of fat need to be removed, traditional techniques are performed followed immediately by SmartLipo to achieve skin tightening that traditional liposuction alone can not achieve.
